This site was started in response to Bush saying "I hear the voices" of dissent. He didn't listen but he admitted to hearing the voices.
During his 2008 victory speech, Obama said I will listen to you, especially when we disagree (11:03), followed by I hear your voices" (13:21).
For our democracy to work, we must stay informed and keep speaking out.
As a stringer for Free Speech TV, I am given the opportunity to film many extraordinary speakers. To make them available to a wider audience, I have posted a collection of them below. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Ron Suskind discusses his book "Confidence Men: Wall Street, Washington, and the Education of a President" at the Miami Book Fair. "Confidence Men" is the story of the fall of the U.S. economy, the rise of President Barack Obama, and the President's harrowing battle to take control of his White House. Veterans Address the Nation
Coinciding with the DNC, the Veterans for Peace also held their 2004 national convention in Boston. On the evening of July 23rd, 2004, at the Historic Faneuil Hall, the veterans addressed the nation. This evening included personal, heartfelt stories by members of Military Families Speak Out and Iraq Veterans Against the War, plus music by David Rovics and Charlie King with Karen Brandow. This video is hosted by Free Speech TV and has a short commercial message at the beginning. Despite that and the fact that this was the first program I ever produced for FSTV, it is still my favorite.
